The Gloria Story was recently booked for SWEDEN ROCK FESTIVAL this summer. But sights are also set on international touring for this old school, hard rock sensation from Sweden. ‘Cause touring – playing live – is what they do best!
The Gloria Story celebrates an era when bands used to dress up before they played – to make sure the visual experience was as entertaining and jawdropping as the music. The Gloria Story’s lack of self respect is obvious – they stop at nothing to pull off one of the most entertaining shows in rock-bizz today! If they feel like waving their asses, pouting their lips, performing highflying split jumps or pretend that they f**k their instruments – they’ll just do it! The concept of combining great 70’s rock with good looks and high energy stage performances has made The Gloria Story into one of booking company Rambo Lives most popular live acts with an impressive tour history of over 100 shows on some of Scandinavias biggest festivals and best known rock-clubs. They’ve been touring together with Ted Poley (Danger Danger) and opening for acts likte Gilby Clarke (ex GnR) and Warrior Soul to mention but a few highlights.
The band released their debut album “SHADES OF WHITE” worldwide in June 2011. It‘s designed to put a smile on your face, make your ears ring and propably get you laid in the process. The album was produced by Anders “Boba Fett” Lindström of The Hellacopters. It became an instant hit in Sweden peaking at #1 on the official hard rock chart, landing the group loads of interviews in national Swedish TV, Radio and Magazines. More importantly the album recieved great reviews worldwide (for example – how about an impressive 8,5 out of 10 in hughe publication ROCK HARD Magazine?), and reached loads of new fans. In Sweden the album was listed in the biggest rock-magazines; Closeup, Sweden Rock, and Rocknytt.net in their top-10 lists of the years best albums. Originaly The Gloria Story made themselfes a name in Sweden with the platinum-selling single “Oh No” (2010) – launching them into rock and roll stardom. This May will see the release of the brand new EP “OUT OF THE SHADE” featuring an angrier, heavier approach to The Gloria Story’s trademark analogue sound – 4 new songs that will kickstart any party!
